God's mountain town needs help.
Our solar batteries have completed their life cycle and need replacement. The old battery unit comprised 72 pieces of 2 volt 100Ah VRLA batteries (in 3 stacks of 24 batteries each) totaling a storage capacity of 14.4 kWh that lasted 6 years in a PV unit that still generates approximately 17, 000 kWh of electricity daily.
To increase the lifespan of our battery unit, we have been consulted by SunPower Innovations, Accra, to switch from VRLA to Lithium-Ion batteries.
Replacing the same battery capacity will cost GHS 133,700.19 excluding logistics and transportation to the top of the mountain.
